Some things start out of frustration. For me, it was a simple problem — I couldn't find a holster that fit the way I carried. Not my gun, not my light, not my preferences. Everything off the shelf was close but never quite right. So I built my own.

That was five years ago. What started as a personal solution in my garage turned into Storm Mountain Tactical — a one man custom Kydex shop built on the belief that your gear should fit you, not the other way around.

When I moved from Missouri to Colorado I settled at the base of Storm Mountain. It didn't take long to learn the mountain had a reputation — Bigfoot sightings going back years. I figured if the mountain was known for something rare and hard to find, that was a pretty good name for a shop that makes gear you can't find anywhere else. Hence the logo.

Every holster that leaves my shop is handmade by me, fitted to your exact firearm and carry setup. No assembly line. No cutting corners. Just precision Kydex work from someone who carries every day and knows what that means.
